Spring isn't here yet, but the neighborhood is waking up. Here's what's worth your time this week and next.
🍽 ON THE PLATE
Dicey's Pizza just opened on Halsted. The tavern-style pizza spot — thin, square-cut, Chicago-style — quietly opened its doors at 2435 N. Halsted last weekend right next door to its sister restaurant Parson's Chicken & Fish. The concept moved from West Town after closing its Chicago Ave location earlier this year, and the menu leans hard into party bar energy: frozen cocktails, natural wine, specialty pies like cacio e pepe and sausage-giardiniera. Hours are noon–9pm weekdays, 11am–9pm weekends. Walk in.
NADU just earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand. In case you haven't been yet: Nadu is Chef Sujan Sarkar's newest spot at 2518 N. Lincoln Ave, focused on contemporary regional Indian cuisine — dishes designed for sharing, from walleye in coconut-tamarind curry to vegetable moilee with ghee bhat. It picked up a Bib Gourmand in the 2026 Michelin Guide — the neighborhood's newest accolade. Reservations suggested, bar open for walk-ins.
Schneider Deli is coming to the block. The cult-favorite Jewish deli tucked inside the Ohio House Motel is expanding to Lincoln Park at 1733 N. Halsted with a 1,750-square-foot space — double the seating of the River North original — plus all-day café service with a Metropolis espresso program. Still listed as "coming soon" on their site, but it's close. Will keep an eye on this one.
